This past weekend was a special one for us. We traveled to LA in order to celebrate God's abundant faithfulness to us in every way during the past 4 years while Anthony completed the Master's of Divinity degree at the Master's Seminary. It was a blessed time. We were able to spend time with good friends, attend a banquet with some of the people who've become dear to us in LA, watch Anthony receive his degree and just reminice about all the Lord has done over the past 4 years in our lives and in our hearts. Here's a few pictures.....
From left to right are Victor and Marianne who've become dear friends and mentors, us, Pastor and Mrs. Dokko of La Canada Korean Church where Anthony ministered during seminary as a youth pastor, Bruno Anthony's dad who came with us for the weekend, and Rufus and Sherli Harvey who've ministered to us faithfully since we arrived at Grace Church. It was a blessing to sit around a table with these dear friends and remember all the ways God demonstrated His grace, wisdom and love through each of them.
Pastor John MacArthur and Mrs. MacArthur and us at the banquet.....I just had to ask for at least one photo with them! Actually the weekend before, I was blessed to be able to attend a brunch at their home hosted by Mrs. MacArthur.....I walked away with lots of photos and a couple pages of notes - gleaning from her years of service to her Lord by serving her husband, family and church body --those will hopefully go into another post, but I feel like I say that a lot and don't get to it.....
The graduate and his fans....
The Bruce family, us and Bruno.....this is a sweet family!
A few folks from La Canada Korean Church who came out to celebrate with us. What a blessing they have been over the past few years.
I think that's it. The ceremony was very worshipful and centered on Christ, as it should be. It wasn't focused on the men's achievements but rather on the Lord's work and also on His commission to them to now minister faithfully to the church, the bride of Christ......no small task when taken as it should be....
Thanks for reading and thanks for all who prayed for us, helped us, counseled us, and encouraged us over the past 4 years since Anthony began the seminary adventure. We so appreciate each of you.....and only hope that by God's abundant grace we can prove faithful to the end, as He has.....again, by His grace alone!
